Undergraduate Degree Program

K-State’s Personal Financial Planning program offers a nationally recognized curriculum designed to prepare students for careers in financial advising. The program provides flexibility through options to study on campus in Manhattan, at the Olathe satellite site, or online. The curriculum integrates essential soft skills related to counseling and human behavior with critical business and finance knowledge, equipping graduates to assist individuals and families in achieving their financial goals across various areas, including retirement, investment, tax, insurance, and estate planning.

The department acknowledges the need for financial support and scholarships for our learners as we provided nearly $200,000 during the 2023-24 academic year of support to our PFP students through scholarships and awards. The program initiates a multitude of professional development opportunities to get learners in front of future employers and industry partners through events such as the Professional Connections Event, guest lecturing, and through our Financial Planning Association branch as well as the expansive network of firms and businesses that provide internships contributing to our high post-graduation job placement.

Our program offers one degree over three platforms meeting our learners were they are so as to create the very best personal financial planners across the nation and the world. Apply today!
