Biography

Dr. Henegar is a distinguished finance and wealth management professional with a comprehensive background spanning academia and industry. Currently serving as Professor of Practice in Financial Planning at Kansas State University, Justin has transformed the curriculum with tailored coursework in insurance planning, investments, and estate planning, achieving an 8% CAGR in graduate enrollment through innovative program design. His commitment to financial literacy and practical education extends from his academic roles to his impactful leadership of student investment funds, where he managed portfolios valued at $5.5 million.

In addition to his academic career, Justin is the Managing Director of 724 Asset Management, where he leads portfolio construction and multi-asset investment strategies, significantly increasing client assets and enhancing financial advising standards. Previously, as Assistant Professor of Finance at Taylor University, he established multiple professional pathways for students, including partnerships for CFA, CFP®, and CKA certifications, resulting in a 30% growth in finance department enrollment.

His research and executive roles at the Ron Blue Institute further exemplify his dedication to integrating values-based principles in finance, where he directed projects and developed educational materials now used in universities nationwide. Justin’s distinctive approach, merging scholarly rigor with industry insights, has earned him a reputation as an influential thought leader in financial planning.
