Biography

Dr. Congrong Ouyang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Personal Financial Planning at Kansas State University, where her research focuses on consumer borrowing behaviors, financial well-being, and financial technology. She earned her Ph.D. in Consumer Sciences with a focus on Personal Finance from The Ohio State University and has published research on topics such as debt management, financial obligations, and household wealth management.

Dr. Ouyang is also committed to enhancing personal financial planning education. At Kansas State, she has worked to refine her courses to better support student learning by integrating project-based assignments and interactive materials. She serves as an Associate Editor for Financial Planning Review and actively contributes to the broader field through conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.

Her work reflects a dedication to helping households navigate complex financial decisions, making her an engaged educator and researcher in personal financial planning.
