[Re]Think [Re]Invent [Re]Connect
Four Interior Design students produced an award-winning video describing the findings of design research related to the pandemic’s impact on the practice of interior design.
Third-year interior design students Mikayla Adkins, Rachel Aranda, Katie Cunningham, and Alyssa O’Neal received second place in the annual IDECF student competition with their research video titled: “Resilience in Interior Design: [Re]think [Re]invent [Re]connect. Under the advising of Dr. Kaup, their work focused on how the pandemic pushed the population to reconsider how their built environment affected their health and well-being.
During a time where physical social interactions were replaced with digital ones, and our environments needed to adapt to preventing the spread of disease, these four students found that designing needed to be fundamentally changed.
