Person-Centered Preferred

This 2019 journal published by Dr. Kaup and 3 others highlights the importance of person-centered care in housing for our aging population.

Looking once again at PEAK 2.0-sponsored facilities, Dr. Kaup, et al. performed a study focusing on the environmental, organizational, and operational effects of the adoption of person-centered care into long-term care facilities. Not only does this shift affect the residents, but it also affects how the employees of the facilities are dispersed and expected to work. The shift in philosophy about nursing homes is especially highlighted.
