2019 Symposium
On Thursday, April 25, 2019 the ATID Student Symposium opened with the 6th Annual ATID Showcase of Excellence. This event included a gallery exhibit and a live runway show featuring work from K-State students and Kansas secondary education students. The showcase was held at the the K-State Alumni Center in Manhattan, Kansas. In response to the symposium theme, "THRIVE," awards were granted in the following categories: Inspired by Janet Rees (pdf), K-State Upper Division (junior and senior) and Graduate, K-State Lower Division (freshman and sophomore) and middle/high school students.
On Friday, April 26, 2019 the ATID Student Symposium continued with many activities including a networking luncheon, panel discussions, master classes, and special topic sessions for students, professionals and alumni. Students interacted with advisory board members and professionals from the interior design program and the apparel and textiles program.
This event was a great opportunity for current and prospective students to meet alumni, professionals and faculty within in the apparel and textiles and interior design professions. It provided students the opportunity to express their creativity and highlight their work at a prestigious, annual event.
