Korynne Rollins is an accomplished scientist in drug development, where she assesses the safety of new pharmaceutical compounds by conducting studies on their effects on vital physiological systems, such as cardiovascular, respiratory, and central nervous systems. Rollins designs preclinical studies, interprets data, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Her role is critical in ensuring that drugs are safe for human use before progressing to clinical trials. Currently a Senior Scientist at Merck & Co., Inc., Rollins oversees regulated safety pharmacology studies and develops innovative in vivo nonclinical risk assessment solutions.

Prior to this role, Rollins served as a Study Director at LabCorp Drug Development, where she designed, managed, and interpreted preclinical studies. Additionally, she trained as a cardiac safety scientist, becoming adept at qualitatively interpreting electrocardiography data. Rollins also leads an initiative to integrate new industry standards for cardiovascular data collection for innovative biologic modalities and has been invited to present her research at domestic and international conferences.

Rollins is a three-time K-State graduate, earning a bachelor, a master's and a doctoral degree in Kinesiology in 2015, 2018 and 2021 respectively.
