"While I was a student at KSU, my professors and instructors were caring and encouraging, providing opportunities beyond the classroom that helped me grow professionally. I want to give back by being a mentor and providing learning opportunities for students and new professionals." With more than 30 years of experience in nutrition, dietetics and food service management, Ms. Johnson, R.D., L. D., leads the team that provides information, training, oversight and technical assistance to local agencies operating child nutrition and wellness programs in the state. A member of the Dietetics Advisory Council and the advisory board for the Center of Excellence for Food Safety Research in Child Nutrition Programs, she collaborated with the department of hospitality management and dietetics on Advancing Child Nutrition Programs in Kansas which won a 2013 Excellence in Engagement Award from K-State.
