Family and Consumer Sciences Education
Our Program
Family and consumer sciences educators teach teenagers and adults the skills they need to live and work well in our complex world. The family and consumer sciences education program is a partnership between the College of Health and Human Sciences and the College of Education. Our program focuses on culinary arts, hospitality, and tourism, education and training, food science and nutrition, health management and wellness, housing and interior design, human/child development and family relations, personal and family finance, and textiles, apparel, and retailing as well as the coursework needed to become a licensed teacher in the State of Kansas.
