Associate School Directors

In January 2025, we announced the appointments of three Associate School Directors. We are confident that these new roles will advance our college and its reorganization by expanding leadership and supporting both the strategic direction and daily operations of the Schools.

School of Consumer Sciences

Dr. Elizabeth Kiss, Associate School Director

Elizabeth has been a valued faculty member in the Department of Personal Financial Planning since 2012 where she also serves as an Extension Specialist. She joined HHS after completing her Ph.D. in Human Resources and Family Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her work focuses on enhancing financial decision-making and promoting financial education, and she is actively involved in developing and delivering Cooperative Extension programs across Kansas. Her service to not only our HHS students, but to our entire Kansas community has made a significant impact, and we are excited to welcome her into this new role.

School of Health Sciences

Dr. Brian Lindshield, Associate School Director

Brian has long been leader in the college, having previously served as Department Head in the Department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics, and Health, and chair of the HHS College Committee on Planning. A proud alumnus of Kansas State University, Brian joined the HHS faculty in 2008 after earning his Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His dedication to advancing educational excellence and fostering community engagement will continue to shape the future of the college as he brings his extensive leadership experience and passion for student success to this new role.

School of Human Sciences

Dr. Anthony Ferraro, Associate School Director

He currently leads the Families in Transition research lab and is an active member and leader in many professional organizations, including the National Council on Family Relations where he serves as Chair and the Journal of Divorce & Remarriage where he is the Co-Editor-In-Chief. His exceptional mentorship has earned him multiple awards, including the Emerging Mentor/Teacher Award from K-State in 2020 and the Hulsing Mentoring Award from the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities in 2022. His dedication to research, mentorship, and service will continue to have a positive impact on our college as he brings this excellence to his new role.
